Tonya McGraw

Vice President of Programs

Tonya McGraw brings over three decades of dedicated experience in supporting military families, both as a military spouse and through her own military service. Tonya, born and raised in Wisconsin, is both a U.S. Army Veteran (1989) and a Navy Veteran (1992). Thus, Tonya’s commitment to service runs deep.

Also, Tonya is the proud spouse of a retired U.S. Marine Corps Master Sergeant, who served for 25 years. They originally met while both serving aboard the USS Canopus in 1991. Together, their journey as a military family took them around the world. The McGraws military duty stations included key assignments at Kings Bay, Georgia (1991-1994), Camp Pendleton, California (1994-1999), I & I duty in Boise, Idaho (1999-2005) and Okinawa, Japan (2005-2008), developing her global perspective on military life. Further, Tonya’s husband is a combat veteran who served in the Iraq war.

The family ultimately retired in Virginia, in 2012, where they still reside today, with their two adult children, and son-in-law. Through the many years of military service and travel, Tonya developed an unwavering passion for taking care of Marines and their families, especially during the holidays and special events.

Tonya’s tenure at Camo Kinser Medical Clinic (2006-2008) saw her providing vital support to Marines and Sailors, assisting with their medical needs during a challenging time. Additionally, her close partnership with fellow military spouses and their children, like Cherie Johnston and Isaiah Navarro, while stationed aboard Camp Pendleton, has fueled her lifelong dedication to giving back to the military community.

As a Key Wife, Tonya was instrumental in supporting her husband's fellow Marines and their families, building bonds that have lasted throughout the years. Her deep understanding of the unique challenges military families face, combined with her hands-on experience, makes her a powerful advocate for the cause. Tonya’s passion for helping Marines and their families is immeasurable, and her work continues to inspire all who meet her.
