Patrice Johnston
Board Secretary
With a career spanning diverse industries and a lifelong commitment to service, Patrice Johnston has dedicated herself to advocacy, leadership, and community impact. From her early days as Office Manager for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and CSP (Community Services Program) to her work as a Procurement Specialist at Livermore National Laboratory, where she played a role in the Star Wars Project for the Department of Defense. Patrice has consistently demonstrated her ability to navigate complex operations with precision and vision.
Her professional journey also includes roles in public relations at MGM Grand Hotel in Reno, Nevada, in procurement for the Navy Exchange at U.S. Naval Air Station in Alameda, California, and volunteer mediation through Dispute Resolution Services—each experience reinforcing her dedication to advocacy and ethical leadership.
Beyond her career, Patrice has been a steadfast volunteer and community leader. She has served as a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Mother/Baby Assessment Center, contributed time to the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and played a pivotal role in the nonprofit sector. As the founding Chief Financial Officer of Military Children's Charity (MCC), founded by her grandson Isaiah Navarro in 2010, Patrice was instrumental in shaping the organization's long-term vision.
Today, Patrice remains deeply engaged in preserving history and fostering community growth as a Board Director for the Wildomar Historical Society. Though she has transitioned into retirement, her commitment to supporting U.S. military families, law enforcement, and countless local and national causes continues unwaveringly.
Her story is also one of personal resilience. Her beloved husband, Lew Johnston, a former U.S. Marine, passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic and is laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery. Through every challenge and triumph, Patrice has remained a pillar of strength, embodying service, leadership, and enduring dedication to the causes closest to her heart.
